MEET · LISTEN · RESPOND

EVERY PIECE BEGINS WITH AN ENCOUNTER.

A stone beside a river.
A shape that catches our attention.
An old mark.
A trace within the landscape.

01 — MEET

We do not begin with a fixed drawing or a predetermined design.
We begin with what we encounter.
Often, it is a stone we have found ourselves.
Sometimes, it is a shape.
A mark.
A story.
A pattern that already exists somewhere in the world.
We pay attention to what asks to be noticed.

To find is to meet.

02 — LISTEN

Then comes listening.
To the shape of the stone.
To the lines that are already there.
To the history and presence of what lies before us.
We do not try to force everything into a predetermined form.
Sometimes, a stone asks for almost nothing.
Sometimes, there is room for a new mark, an engraving or a form in silver.
The design emerges through relationship.

03 — RESPOND

Then, we make.
With silver.
With attention.
With room for chance and change.
We respond to what we have encountered.
Not to turn it into something entirely different, but to enter into a new relationship with it.
Each piece takes shape gradually.
One encounter leading to the next.

04 — CARRY

The story does not end in our studio.
Eventually, every piece leaves us.
It meets someone else.
It is worn.
It travels.
It gathers new memories and meanings.
And the story continues.
